What is the Wii Points Card Shop?

The Wii Points Card Shop is the place where you can swap Stars for Wii Points Cards. These cards contain a code that you can enter in the Wii Shop Channel on your Wii. This will add Wii Points to your Wii Shop Channel account, which you can spend on such items as games for Virtual Console.

What can I do with Wii Points and how do I redeem them?

If your Wii is connected to the Internet, Wii Points can be redeemed in the Wii Shop Channel. They can be used to purchase Virtual Console games or Wii Software such as the Internet Channel.

• To redeem Wii Points, go to the Wii Shop Channel from the Wii Menu.
• Once you are connected to the Wii Shop channel, select 'Start Shopping'.
• On the next screen, select 'Add Wii Points'.
• On the next screen, select 'Redeem Wii Points Card'.
• Now take the Wii Points Card Code that you got from the Wii Points Card Shop and enter this in the field 'Wii Points Card Activation Number'.
• Select 'OK'.
• On the next screen, select 'Redeem' to add the Wii Points to your Wii Shop Channel account.
• Select 'OK'.

Your Wii Points have been added to your Wii Shop Channel account.

How do I get Stars?

By registering as a Club Nintendo member, you'll start collecting Stars on your Club Nintendo account. You can collect more Stars by registering Nintendo products like a Wii, Nintendo DS and Nintendo-published software titles.

Why can't I get access to the Wii Points Card Shop?

You have to be a registered Club Nintendo member to log in. Furthermore, you also need to link your Club Nintendo account to your Wii Shop Channel account.


How do I link my Club Nintendo account to my Wii Shop Channel account?

• When you have a Club Nintendo account and your Wii console is connected to the Internet, go to the Wii Shop Channel from the Wii Menu.
• Once you are connected to the Wii Shop Channel, select 'Start Shopping'.
• On the next screen, select 'Settings'.
• On the Settings Screen, point your Wii Remote at the Club Nintendo logo and press the A Button in order to link your Club Nintendo account.
• You will then be asked to enter the email address and password that you normally use to log into your Club Nintendo account.
• Once you entered your details, select 'Link'.
• When the link has been established you will get a confirmation message. Select 'OK'.

Your Club Nintendo Membership is now linked to your Wii Shop Channel account.

You can de-link your Wii Shop Channel account and your Club Nintendo account any time. If you want to do so, just change the respective setting in your Wii Shop Channel menu.


I have access to the Wii Points Card Shop, but I can't purchase any Wii Points Cards.

• Check if you have enough Stars to purchase your Wii Points Card of choice. If you don't have the required amount of Stars, you can not purchase the Wii Points Card.
• Check if your Wii Points Card of choice is still available. If your Wii Points Card of choice is momentarily no longer available, please come back at a later date.
• We allow a maximum of one Wii Points Card to be purchased per day by any individual. If you reached the daily limit, please come back tomorrow.
• If you still can't manage to purchase any Wii Points Cards, this is likely due to a technical error. Please refer to the error message on screen, or come back at a later date.
